Veidekke Sweden has chosen TrollKom Anlegg as the supplier of communications, wireless fire alarm, crew registration with tracking and wireless networks in connection with the construction of the Mässtunneln project in Stockholm.

The Mässtunneln tunnel in Stockholm is a tunnel project in which TrollKom is supplying wireless communication infrastructure in collaboration with Veidekke.

The solution includes WiFi, RTLS, and Kinetic Mesh technology to ensure stable and robust communication in a demanding tunnel environment.

Tunnel construction places special demands on network solutions. The environment is characterized by rock, concrete, moving machinery, moisture, and dust, all of which affect radio signals and operational reliability.

Achieving reliable communication requires technology that is adapted to dynamic and changing working conditions.


Challenges in tunnel construction

In a tunnel project such as the Mässtunneln, communication is a key part of both safety and efficiency.
